University of South Florida Football Camp
to Return to VBSV for the Third Consecutive Year
VERO BEACH, Fla. —Vero Beach Sports Village (VBSV) will once again serve as the site where the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls football team will conduct its August 8-18 training camp. This marks the third consecutive summer Coach Skip Holtz will utilize the historic facility to prepare his Bulls for the upcoming season.
"The University of South Florida Bulls football training camp at Vero Beach Sports Village is quickly becoming an Indian River County tradition,” said Pat O’Conner, President of Minor League Baseball™. “Coach Holtz, his staff and players will utilize one of the premier athletic training facilities in the country that has a reputation of being the place where champions go to train.
“We are confident that those who attend the USF practices and scrimmages at Vero Beach Sports Village will enjoy seeing one of the top Big East Conference football programs in action."
The team is scheduled to arrive at VBSV at 10:30 a.m. on August 8 and will take the field for their first practice session at 3:40 p.m. The Bulls will be the first team to use Vero Beach Sports Village’s newly completed 100 yard x 150 yard multi-sport field.
The Bulls will hold 14 practices and two intra-squad scrimmages while training at VBSV. These practices and scrimmages are free and open to the public.
