VBSV Hosting 50 Teams for Second Annual Treasure Coast President’s Day Tournament

VERO BEACH, Fla.— 50 teams from several different states are scheduled to participate in the second annual Vero Beach Sports Village Treasure Coast President's Day Challenge this weekend February 18-20. The number of teams playing in this year’s event are more than twice the number that participated in the inaugural tournament last year.
 
Teams from New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois and Mississippi as well and a team from Canada will also participate in next weekend’s event.

New Fields Underway at Vero Beach Sports Village

Vero Beach Sports Village is in the process of building four new youth-sized baseball/ women's softball fields that will be completed in April. The new complex will feature a press box, concessions, restrooms, and much more.

VBSV is also in the process of converting a small half-sized baseball field into a full 100yd x 150yd multi-sport field that will cater to lacrosse, football, soccer and rugby.

USSSA Youth Baseball Tournament to be First Event on New VBSV Fields

VERO BEACH, Fla.— Vero Beach Sports Village is proud to announce a Florida Premier Sports/USSSA sanctioned tournament from April 27-29 will be its first event on the new youth baseball/softball fields. The event will be a practice tournament for any Florida, 12U, 14U and 16U baseball teams looking to participate in a tournament being held in Cooperstown that will start in early June and run through August. read more>>

International Baseball Team Returns to VBSV for More Training

VERO BEACH, Fla.—The SK Wyverns, a South Korean Professional Baseball Team, have returned to Vero Beach Sports Village for a month to train for their upcoming season that began Sunday, January 15. The team recently stayed for a one-month training period at VBSV in November after playing in the Korean World Series. During their previous stay, the Wyverns had over 50 people on-site. They have brought in more than 70 for this training camp. read more>>

The Umpire School Welcomes First Class Sunday

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Umpire School, the only all-inclusive professional baseball umpire school with on-site field and classroom instruction; housing; dining; and recreation, will begin instructing its first class Sunday at Vero Beach Sports Village in Vero Beach, Fla. Professional Baseball Umpire Corp (PBUC) supervisors will instruct attendees of the 28-day course that runs through February 5. PBUC oversees the training and employment of umpires in the Minor League Baseball system throughout the United States and Canada. read more>>
